Vercel announced a beta of Vercel CI for Turborepo. The changelog describes marking tasks with a ci tag so they run on each push.
What the beta automates
- Only tasks affected by code changes need to run.
- Task outputs can use Vercel Remote Cache.
- Dependencies are installed once per run and cached across code updates.
Vercel reports shorter push-to-CI wait times in its own repositories, but that result is specific to its workloads and should not be assumed for another monorepo.
The feature is in beta. Review its task configuration and compare it with your existing CI pipeline before moving required checks.
