A portfolio is useful when it helps someone assess how you approach work, not when it contains the largest number of demos. Select projects that match the roles you want and give each one a clear path from the problem to the working result.
Make every project easy to assess
- Link to a live demo and source repository when you can share them.
- State what you built, what you personally handled, and which tools mattered.
- Include one or two screenshots only when they help explain the interaction or visual result.
Choose evidence over decoration
A reviewer should be able to find the project purpose, main decisions, and current status without guessing. If a repository is private or a demo is offline, say so and provide a useful alternative such as a short walkthrough.
Before sharing, open the portfolio on a phone, check every link, and ask someone unfamiliar with the project to identify your contribution. If they cannot, improve the explanation before adding another project.
