A business may want to know whether a website helps people make contact. That can often be measured by counting successful submissions without sending the message contents or identity to an analytics tool.

Define a minimal event

  • Choose one event that represents a genuinely completed contact action.
  • Send only the event name and non-identifying page context.
  • Avoid recording field values, email addresses, or phone numbers in event parameters.

Test the event in a non-production environment and inspect what the analytics provider receives. Explain measurement practices in the privacy notice and honor applicable consent choices.
